From 2 to 6 months, depending on the readiness of the documents, the availability of the vessel, the complexity of the operations, and the client’s efficiency.

An unique identifier for a shipping company in the IMO (International Maritime Organization) international database. It is required to obtain a Company’s DOC/Document of Compliance.

At a minimum, a MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) is required—a memorandum of agreement for the ship Sale & Purchase, or a Ship Management Agreement or Bareboat Charter for a specific existing vessel.

The company can legally operate the vessel. Periodic internal and external audits of the company and the vessel(s) are required, as well as renewal surveys of the company every 5 years.
